It is a simple story, and a journey of getting a message out to the world. That message is empathy.

As commercial artists we have been firsthand witnesses to the powerful public reach displayed by large entertainment studios and other commercial enterprises with which a message can travel within a well crafted digital medium. The goal with Love and the Universe is not to copy formulas of commercial studios but to strive for equally raised production quality and create a positive far reaching message.

Animation

Brad Clark

An award winning artist and animator, Brad Clark has worked on a wide range of projects over the past 12 years; from modeling and rigging for television and video games to editing motion capture for Gollum in “The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.” His career has taken him around the globe: from Florida to the Philippines, from Texas to New Zealand. Brad taught animation, character design and setup classes, trained 2D animators on Softimage and headed up internal company training on technical art and rigging. A previous Autodesk Master Class instructor, Brad has twice presented at workshops for Conceptart.org. Most recently, Brad has provided custom training and consulting for Bungie, Disney Junction Point and Reel FX on Motionbuilder, Maya and 3dsMax.

Brad is the co-founder of Rigging Dojo ( http://www.RiggingDojo.com) ,an online training school for character technical directors and animators.

Nik Douglas

Nik Douglas is an Award Winning Game and Film Music Composer and Sound Designer living in Berlin, Germany. After over 15 years’ experience writing music for games, advertising, film and pop music acts in Australia, Nik is turning his attention specifically to servicing the video games industry. Acting

Eric Kramer

Originally a native of Brooklyn, NY, yet raised primarily in Wisconsin, and the wilds of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Eric’s a professional actor and voice over artist of 40+ years’ experience. Enjoying a long and very active career in TV and radio commercials, corporate training/educational videos, etc., both on-camera and as a voice over talent, Eric has been seen and/or heard pitching everything from Sears’ appliances, Bank One MasterCards, Bob Evans Restaurants and Prudential Investments, to Charmin toilet paper, Pop-Tart Pastry Swirls, and numerous campaigns for the Pennsylvania Lottery, among many other clients and products. His many stage appearances include supporting roles in The War of the Roses, a Delaware Theatre Company stage adaptation of the early 1990s film that’s currently in development for a hopeful Broadway production, and as ‘Dr. Dorn’, in Philadelphia’s Barrymore Award-winning reimagining of Anton Chekhov’s The Seagull, with the EgoPo Classic Theater. On television, Eric was proud to have played major roles in two projects for PBS. He appeared on-camera as the imperious ‘Cardinal Pelagius’, in the Emmy-nominated, 2017 historical docudrama, The Sultan and the Saint, and recently voiced the character of Dr. William Williams Keen, known as ‘America’s First Brain Surgeon’, who was both a leader and innovator in modern surgical techniques, for Civil War Medicine, a multi-part documentary series that’s currently in production.

Art

Douglas Prince

Born in Flint Michigan Douglas Prince began his professional career in Texas working as an illustrator and T-shirt printer for Austin’s flourishing music scene. Entering the burgeoning digital space developing interactive media, educational titles, and CD-ROMs, he quickly transitioned to the game industry working for Maxis Entertainment. He has since worked in multiple disciplines within game art pipelines, and ultimately as an art director. He has contributed to projects in multiple studios in North and South America and Europe, contributing to over 30 titles. He developed the syllabus and taught college classes in video game development at the Austin Game Development program and has additionally lectured at schools, universities and events in Chile, the U.S. and Germany. Douglas is currently working on his own publishing and fine art endeavors exploring empathy and other themes. In addition to his digital work, he is an avid oil painter and plein air artist always exploring techniques and mediums. He lives and works in Berlin, Germany. Past clients and studios include Electronic Arts, Maxis, NCsoft, BHVR, Aeria Games, THQ, Atari, Origin Systems, Activision, Microsoft, Disney, The Cartoon Network, Carlsen Verlag, DARPA and more.
